To understand which treatment you need, you will have to truly pay attention to your body in order to find out what is triggering the low back pain. It may be that there are several reasons. For example, you may be sitting idle in a single position without movement for a long-period of time before suddenly moving. This can trigger pain. Or it may so happen that while exercising, especially during yoga or stretch related exercise, you cause damage to your back when stretching so much that it strains your body. That may be another reason for the triggering of the pain. Once you know the reasons of the pain, it is easier for you to avoid the practices that were causing it. A very common cause of back pain is sleeping on a poor quality mattress. Using a good quality mattress and replacing it from time to time is a good way to keep away back pain.

The best advice is to make an appointment with your local GP or medical professional. They will assess you and guide you in the right direction, whether it be physiotherapy or book you in to see a specialist. Your local doctor should be your first port of call if you experience back pain for more than 2-3 days.
