Today we are reviewing the book The 7 Day Back Pain Cure by Jesse Cannone, a leading back pain rehabilitation expert and fitness trainer. It is a 250 page hardcover book that provides hundreds of common sense tips and loads of information on ways to get rid of your back pain. It starts off with a detailed insight into the story of how the book came to be. It involves how Jesse had a “knee” injury from running more than he should have in an effort to impress his future wife, Maria. He impressed her alright, but he found out he had imbalances in his body and muscles that originated in his back and spine. There are some excellent quotes included at the start of each chapter – including an interesting one from Lance Armstrong on the topic of pain:
“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however; it lasts forever.”
For anyone that has suffered chronic back pain at any time in their lives, this rings incredibly true. You have to never give up in relation to getting rid of your pain. Try EVERYTHING you can. Eventually you will find something, or a combination of things that will work.
The 3rd section of the book deals with action plans for getting rid of your back pain. Not only does it discuss a range of treatment options that does not involve surgery or drugs, it lays out details of day to day actions for each specific back pain condition. This is great for those of us that at times find it difficult to get motivated in relation to getting treatments or doing exercises and stretches EVERY day. Discipline and commitment is paramount here.
All 3 sections of the book have dozens of common sense tips and secrets that are revealed as not difficult to do. They are simple to understand, follow and carry out. Most are easily actionable and can be carried out in the comfort of your own home.
